Jurisdictions with a planned system rewrite or modernization will have the added benefit of a data sync rolled into the implementation. Beginning at the end of Q2 (March 2022), we will accommodate requests with advance notice on a first-come, first-served basis, which will enable AAMVA to prearrange and allocate resources for the desired level of support. While working toward an automated process which will enable an annual data sync for all jurisdictions, we currently have the ability to perform three jurisdiction data syncs per quarter. The data sync tool compares, corrects, and restores NMVTIS data to the jurisdiction’s data. These ‘data syncs’ have demonstrated improved data integrity, help jurisdictions identify and analyze any data differences in their current system, and contribute to requirements for current and future rewrites.
